The closest thing might be Gmail’s Priority Inbox which categorizes incoming e-mails by importance and then gives you one of three buttons: “show all”; “show only priority items” or “hide priority items”. You’ll have to enable this through your Gmail web interface though. There is also a paid app called Push for Email which allegedly takes over Samsung’s stock app completely and adds push functionality on top – however, I have never used it so can’t give further details.
Yes, of course! Just tap on the little green plus icon next to an email account in your contacts list, select “Hide Contact” and confirm once again with “OK!”. This will only remove it temporarily though because requests might come from other sources too (e.g. WhatsApp). A better idea is to go through all accounts’ address books via Settings > Accounts > Account Name > Manage Contacts then just mark those you don’t wish to see as favorites with a star or edit them first by pressing on the pencil icon and marking them as unimportant. From the Windows desktop, navigate to Settings > Accounts > Email & app accounts. From the right pane, select the email account to remove then click Manage. Select Delete account from the prompt and confirm with Delete.
To delete your email account, on the home screen tap Email. You can also find email under the Apps tab. Tap More then Settings and select the email account you want to delete. Once selected, tap Remove at the top of the screen to confirm you wish to remove this account.
