Delete Previously Used Email Addresses from Gmail Auto-Complete List
Email addresses, contacts, and other information are saved in a profile for the Microsoft account associated with Windows 10. The Profile is located at %LOCALAPPDATA%PackagesMicrosoft.Windows.Cortana_cw5n1h2txyewyACMicrosoftUserData<USERID>.config. To remove email addresses from this profile using one of these two methods:

PersonalInformation – This contains all your user data including emails etc., Computer Information – This contains system information like name, model, etc. The ProfileImagePath key is where the paths for picture thumbnails are stored, these can be safely removed and re-added if they are not needed.
To delete a subkey simply select it, press the Delete key and enter yes to confirm (this will not affect any other profiles on the PC).
The subkey that contains your user account is named with your user name (in this example mine is “John Doe” so the subkey would be: HKLMSOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionProfileList\89166D50-3A8F-4633-AC6E-2438CDB25910)
Cortana has been upgraded significantly since its initial release in Windows 8.1. Windows 10 builds on this with more features and greater integration across the operating system, including a dedicated search bar in Windows Explorer.
If you don’t use Cortana it does represent an unnecessary resource that is using up both your CPU cycles and bandwidth to communicate with Microsoft’s servers (data can be used both to respond to your questions verbally or type them out) so some may want to disable it from their systems for performance reasons. If you decide to do this then note that all information previously “learned” about you locally and online will need deleting before disabling it as otherwise it will resume once re-enabled (You can find the setting under Settings > Privacy > Speech, inking & typing).
In late 2015 Microsoft released a new app for Windows 7 or 8.1 users to encourage the upgrade to Windows 10. This can be easily removed if you don’t want this app (or its icon) and are still happy with the existing operating system on your device. To do so simply press your Window key, type ‘Run’ and open it, then type ‘Control” into the box below and hit Enter – this will allow you to open the Control Panel interface where you need to go to User Accounts > Uninstall a program and locate Get Windows10 in Program name before pressing Uninstall/Change.
Windows 10 is a very good operating system, but it does perform worse than Windows 7 and 8.x on older hardware. This has two issues:
1. Users will generally have an expectation of similar performance to what they were used to – i.e. ‘if I had three Chrome browser tabs open in the previous OS then there should be no problem with opening four if this new one can’t handle more’ or ‘if my previous machine could run Elite Dangerous with 50km/p render distance at high settings then this one should still be able to do so even though it was already struggling before the upgrade’ etc…
2. People have been led to believe that computer performance is always improving and so the idea that their machine is slower than it was ‘the day I bought it’ may be very hard to accept.
The first issue can usually be addressed by education: i.e. what are you expecting from your computer? How powerful do you want/need it to be? If you don’t need anything really intensive (i.e. resource-hungry) then why upgrade at all as any newer hardware will ultimately get worse battery life, have a shorter replacement cycle (as there will be significant improvements every 2-3 years or so), etc… The second issue is more difficult – personally speaking if I had no prospect of using a device for its full lifespan then

To delete an old email address, go to the ‘Window‘ menu and choose ‘Previous Recipients‘. Then find the old account under ‘On My Computer‘ or ‘Local Accounts‘ and press the ‘Remove from List button.
Open Mail app. Click the New Email button. In the new e-mail window, start typing the address you want to remove in the To: field. When it appears, tap the I button next to the address and then tap Remove From Recents at the bottom.
If you only own a computer or laptop, you can enter your contact’s name or email address in the Search bar at the top. After finding them, select their contact information under “Contact record” from the drop-down menu. Click Delete when prompted. Alternatively: If you prefer to delete an entry from because they gave you permission to access their data and then updated it with new information that will cause duplication if not updated on .com as well, contact for customer support.
In the AutoComplete section click on Settings. At the bottom of the AutoComplete Settings window, check Form Data and Passwords. Click Delete.
Reset Mail App on Windows 10 Click the button that is titled Advanced options. Reset Mail App option box will pop up then you click reset.
