I am a 27 year old male working as an attorney in New York City and I have been using Tinder for maybe three months now, I too was one of the people who had recently deleted Tinder without realizing that by doing so I would lose all my messages with approximately 20 or 30 different individuals trying either to hook up with or chat with me. It really sucked because all of these people I had invested some time into getting to know but now I had no way of contacting them since Tinder does not allow you to recover messages once they have been deleted.
You are 100% right…. Once my message was deleted on tinder it wasn’t easy for me to get back my deleted tinder messages… after all, I should be the one who should decide what and when to delete. Our privacy rights were violated by a few unethical hackers who working at tinder tried their best to hack into our accounts or use our pictures without permission from us. They even tricked other users with personal information that was stolen from their profiles on Tinder (which is basically violating federal laws)!!! Now seeing how many people are complaining about the same thing and how it’s still going on, I wish a non-profit organization steps in and stop these hackers from supporting this unethical behavior or takes all the responsibility for what is happening. Even though Tinder may have installed some sort of security features to their software, they are seriously lacking on the customer service end! As such many innocent individuals like myself have been hacked by others with complete access to your personal information (including texts). This has got to stop!!
The truth is that Apple does not care about anyone individual apple user, so tinder had every option open to them in terms of making these accounts as secure as possible but instead made fake promises asking us users to believe that they were really concerned about our safety and privacy to apply never took any action whatsoever against tinder for violating its user agreements and privacy policies. The truth is that this was just a way to get users to purchase the additional features available on tinder, which are very expensive by the way! No one should have ever paid for these fake promises!

When you “unmatch” someone on Tinder, you are immediately taken out of each others’ matches list and cannot message them through the app ever again. There is no way to undo this action once it has been made so make sure un-matching is what you want before doing so.
