  1. Step 1: Keyboard If the bottom case is loose, go to step 3.<\/li>\n
  2. Flip over the Chromebook, and remove all Phillips #1 screws.<\/li>\n
  3. Remove both rubber pads on the front of the keyboard.<\/li>\n
  4. Separate the top case from keyboard by separating at sides then separate enough so there is a gap between them about 5cm wide.<\/li>\n
  5. Insert flat tool (spudger) under edge of upper left-hand corner until you hear a pop or damaging plastic sound \u2013 this will release rear foot pedal mechanism lock-out underneath which will cause it to open up more than necessary when inserted into position for glue recovery operation or replacement.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
