BoxBe advertises itself as \u2018the best way to organize all of your favorite web sites in one convenient box\u2019, but there are at least 20 better ways which don\u2019t rely on using their website to store everything.<\/p>\n<p>BoxBe starts off innocently enough; they offer you a quick, simple installation with few options (which is good) and even make it very clear what the <a href=\"how-does-the-brilliant-distinctions-program-work\/\">program\u2019s<\/a> toolbar does (also good):<\/p>\n<p>That sounds great! It does exactly what it says, and doesn\u2019t install any crap along with it! Unfortunately, right after the installation completes, the user has an option to either close or keep BoxBe running:<\/p>\n<p>This is where BoxBe goes wrong. Like many programs, especially low-quality ones, it tries to trick the user by making them think they have an option when in fact they don\u2019t. This is done using what\u2019s called a \u2018nag screen\u2019, which pops up every single time you close or minimize BoxBe , asking if you want to keep it running.<\/p>\n<p>This gets incredibly annoying very quickly, and the only way to disable it is by going into Options -&gt; Privacy and setting Keep Running prior to closing BoxBe .
