Click Start&gt; Control Panel&gt; Add\/Remove Programs then select BT Virus Protect 2006 and click remove, or highlight the program and hit the \u2018delete\u2019 key on your keyboard (to help find uninstall information for any other software that is installed with BT virus protect, we recommend typing \u201cuninstall\u201d into \u2018search programs &amp; files).<\/p>\n<p>2. From a cold start press F8 repeatedly on startup, to get to the Advanced Boot Options menu (note that doing this may stop some printers and other devices from working). You should then end up at a rescue prompt; from here press F5 or F8 (the former will offer more options) and type \u201cfixmbr\u201d followed by Enter. After this has completed, restart the computer normally.
