Friendship.. Sexist Or Not?

Dear Emily, I have been reluctant to post a blog, but I finally came to the point where I think it is important! This whole “purity” thing has got to go. The idea that women who have sex are slutty and those who don’t are prudes perpetuates rape culture. The idea that a woman’s worth is tied into her sexual activity or lack thereof ties back in with gender oppression and patriarchy. It is time for us liberal feminist women to try not to perpetuate this oppressive behavior!!!!!! Am I overreacting or does anyone else also see something wrong with all of these commercials/articles about virginity?? CHEERS!!!
