To delete a Tik Tok video that you have posted to your account, select the video you want to delete from your profile. From there, tap the “…” icon in the bottom-right corner and select Delete or Trash. You will be asked if you are sure about deleting this particular video
How to Delete TikTok Videos
The app doesn’t provide any way to delete videos. You can, however, block the video from appearing on your profile by deleting it from “My Story.” To do this:
Go to “Stories” and select the story where you want to remove a particular post or video.
Tap on the three vertical dots in top right corner of screen. This will show options for editing, adding filters, etc., then tap “delete” next to the specific item that you would like removed. The deletion process takes up 24 hours before it is permanently deleted so make sure you’re ready! If there are other posts in that same story that were not blocked they will continue showing as normal until they expire after 24 hours.
The video will no longer appear on your profile, but the original post and video still exist in “My Story” so be sure to delete it completely if you want a permanent deletion! quick tip for avoiding this issue is not sharing your location when posting from “Stories.” This way someone can’t find out where you are unless they were also at that particular place within 24 hours of the time stamp. If you’re using an iPhone:
Go into Settings > Privacy > Location Services > Camera App (scroll down) -Turn off Share My Location with my story while using this app. For Android: go to settings > privacy & safety > camera permission – turn off both share live video and share location.
