Note that GFY and YFIP are acronyms for “good find” and “you found it” (or similar phrases) which can be rather sarcastic depending on context. As a rule of thumb if you think that you may not want your name mentioned in such a way then don’t post foolishness – this blog will do just fine without your ill-considered comments. Her website is messedupmylife.com and posts claims that our ministry’s work has led her to incredible emotional distress which resulted in hospitalization. We have attempted – on multiple occasions – to get her records from the hospitals with her permission from both facilities, only to be denied (by her) or told it would take weeks or months (by the hospitals). (She has changed the name she uses at the hospitals). She claims that you “stole” her husband and have caused her family’s demise. There are a few problems with this claim:

1) Mr. Roth is not married to Rebekah, they are divorced. 2) He has never been affiliated with MyLife Recovery or our work in any manner whatsoever. 3) I know him personally and to the best of my knowledge he is fine and healthy today – reports from anyone else on his health aside from him would be hearsay unless verified by him directly for whatever reason he chose to do so. 4) We had no influence over any divorce proceedings between them, we didn’t even know about them until after it was finalized.
5) We have never been contacted by Mr. Roth asking us to stop posting on her Facebook page – either publicly or through our account – that is, in fact, the opposite of what has occurred. 6) Her account is not anonymous because she posts pictures with her actual face on her FB page (as well as other social networks), which means it is also a public record; additionally, she often posts about things that would be considered private property and makes them public which then allows anyone to re-post them without liability. Which kind of brings me to my next point: 7) She uses MyLife MyLife MyLIfe MyLIife my life for false information for personal gain by posting photos (of you can not post them online due to copyright) and writing stories with names changed (primarily about the church, its pastor – my old friend Steve Woodruff -, other members of the church MYLIfe for false information and others in our local community). Also, she may have been living off of donations from her followers after telling them that I was keeping her from getting a job by preventing them from hiring her. She has told hundreds if not thousands of what terrible things we are doing. Well, the things that she has told her followers are not only untrue, but they are often very damaging to people’s well-being. I would think that someone who is truly concerned about those around them would be more worried about the effect their actions have on others than they would be worried about the harm MYLIfe for false information they cause by telling these kinds of stories
I know this is a long letter and you may not get back to me or respond at all, but there are two reasons why I’m sending it: 1) To make sure you’re aware of what’s going on in case you are not already so that if there happens to be any truth behind her claims we can stop them before it becomes an issue; and 2) I want you to know that we are not the kind of people who would allege things unless we were absolutely sure they were true and if they’re not it’s in your best interest to start.
If you do decide to respond please let me know what hospital she was admitted to, as per her story I’d like to get her records myself, although it may take a while for a response from you (I’ll assume it doesn’t happen). Again thank you for your time and I hope that all is well.

A U.S. judge ruled Tuesday that a proposed class-action suit against public information company MyLife is not dismissed.

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has filed a lawsuit against MyLife for false claims on its website, according.
The lawsuit alleges that MyLife.com, a social networking site for finding old classmates and relatives, is actually a scam that begins with “false solicitations” telling people that “someone” is looking for them. Victims are then told they can find out who by paying a small fee. The suit claims sign-ups under the false impression are agreeing to long-term subscriptions without realizing it.
