If you want to use Microsoft Outlook instead of Windows Live Mail for accessing Gmail, then please follow these steps:
1. Download and install the software from the Microsoft website using this link.
2. Open the program and select the Import or Add option in the menu located on the top left corner (see image below). Click the Next button when it appears.

Now open your Gmail account by clicking on Add an Account link in step #2 above and enter all required information such as incoming server address (i.e. pop-mail.googlemail.com), username, and password into corresponding fields (see screenshot).
