Delete a Skype for Business Message:
1. From the Messaging tab, click the name to see your chat history with that person; then, right-click and choose Delete Message.
2. If you don’t see the message in your History, use Advanced Search to find it by specifying “Last seen.”
3. The date and timing of the last activity is indicated immediately after its message content (e.g., last seen Friday at 10:00). Other details will also be provided if logged in as an administrator.

NOTE: You can only use the Delete Message option to recover a deleted message if you examine that conversation by right-clicking on it in your chat history. If you delete a conversation from the Advanced Search tool, there is no way to restore any of those messages unless they are still present in Deleted Items or you have previously exported them from Outlook as an Office Data File (.pst).

You can delete old Skype for business message history by either signing in to your account and looking to the side for a trash can icon or downloading Skype’s MacOS app which has a button next to the text box.
Only messages that have yet to be viewed can be saved before deletion. Once a message has been opened or starred, it cannot be saved.
