- Choose Delete Profile Only to keep its saved games and achievements, or Delete Profile and Items to completely remove everything.
You can delete old profiles from your Xbox 360 console by pressing the Guide button on your controller, moving right to Community or My profile and selecting Delete profile. You’ll be prompted to confirm that you’d like to delete this player, which will also remove all associated saved games and achievements. If you downloaded demos or content using the removed profile, it will be permanently deleted as well.

How do I rename my Xbox Live Gold online ID?
You can now change your gamertag directly from an Xbox 360 console. Please follow these steps:
Press the Guide button on your controller, go right to Settings and select Profile. Select Change Gamerpic. Now you can upload or use a picture of your choice, enter a new gamertag for your account and choose whether or not you would like it to be shown publicly as part of your profile To make sure that others will still be able to find you when searching for friends, we recommend changing only the first letter of your name rather than replacing it entirely. With Xbox Live Gold, you can also change the name associated with any existing Silver membership profile. On the same screen where you entered (or changed) Gold details for your player profile, select Manage Gold memberships on the left side of the screen. This will take you to a list of all your Xbox Live accounts and corresponding profiles. Select the one you’d like to rename from this list, then follow the prompts to make changes to that account name or gamertag.
How do I create an offline Xbox 360 profile?
To create a new local (offline) profile on your Xbox 360 console, press guide, move right and select Settings > System > Profiles. Press A while highlighting any existing profile except for Offline Profile 1 or 2. You will see “New profile” at the bottom center of your screen. Press A again and choose a name for your new local profile as well as the avatar, gamertag or profile picture. Once you’ve set your new local profile’s name and avatar, select Done.
If you create a second offline profile on your console it will be named “Offline Profile 2” by default. You can rename this profile under “Settings” > “System” > “Profiles”. Select the offline profile you’d like to edit and choose a new gamertag for that user from the available options. To remove anyone else’s online account from your Xbox 360, or to manually clear your own account, follow these steps:
If you are signed in as a child profile (examples: John, Mike or Jeremy) and cannot access the Add/Remove Licenses area because you have insufficient privileges, ask an adult for help.
Press guide and move left to Settings > Account Management > My family. Press A while highlighting the offline profile that needs its accounts removed (examples: John, Mike or Jeremy). Now proceed with deleting the child account by selecting Unlink this license from your dad/mom’s gamertag below the selected offline profile in the list of available profiles. Select Yes to confirm that you would like to remove this person’s online Xbox Live account from your Xbox 360. You will be required to input the account information for the profile you wish to remove, as well as a security code that is sent via text message or through Xbox Live. After entering these details, select Next and then Finish in order to complete this action. The console will perform an automated factory reset that removes all local settings and saved games associated with that profile.
If you are signed in as an adult who has added a child’s offline profile (examples: JohnDoe78, Mike5682 or Jeremy13) and cannot access the Add/Remove Licenses area because you have insufficient privileges, ask an adult for help.

When you delete an account on your Xbox One console, it will no longer be available. Keep in mind that the data associated with this account is still stored online and on the Microsoft servers, so game saves and progress won’t be affected as long as they are uploaded prior to deletion.
Take these steps to delete your Xbox 360 account select the console’s ‘System’ tab in Settings. Scroll down and select the specific profile that you would like to delete – be sure that it is not currently being used by any other users on your network. Select “Delete.”
