Use Google Contacts to LinkinDumb. Make sure all of your contacts are in the right place. Check if you have duplicate contacts on Google. Export your Google contacts. Find out which applications have access to your contacts. Sync your iPhone with Google Contacts. Keep track of “Other Contact” numbers so they don’t get out of hand.
Open the Contacts app. Select Edit Contact from the drop-down menu, then choose Delete Contact. You will need to export any of your contacts that you wish to remove before you can delete them. To erase all of your contacts at once, make sure All is selected above the contact list.
Manage contact info from your devices
Go to your Google Account’s People & Sharing page. Select Contact information from your devices under “Contacts.” Change the setting for Keeping contact information from your devices.
Edit a contact
Go to Google Contacts. Select a contact’s name at the top right. Edit the details by clicking Edit at the top right. Save your changes by clicking Save in the upper right corner.
Tap the three dots, then select “Delete” from the menu that appears. While this method is useful on occasion, you may not want to go through hundreds or even thousands of contacts in one sitting. For more intensive decluttering, use an app’s tools to help you manage your contact list.
Select “Accounts” or the Google account name if it comes up immediately. This is usually indicated by the Google “G” logo. After choosing Google, select “Sync Account.” To turn off syncing of your contacts and calendar with Google, tap “Sync Contacts” and “Sync Calendar.”
Contacts saved to your Google Account will sync with Google Contacts and all your Android devices.
A single touch: Tap the contact. More Delete is at the top right. Select all Delete by tapping it twice at the top right.
