It’s all well and good to have an Oculus Rift, but if you want to use it with your Facebook account, then here are some tips.
You’ll need to log out of the current account on the desktop app before logging in for the first time with a new one. Once logged in, start up your game or app on your device and go through the setup process again – this will take care of registering it as being under your new account. You can connect both accounts at any point by editing settings on your PC client.
If you’re trying to go back and forth between accounts, don’t forget the “Remember this decision” check box when it asks you which account you want to use; there’s no need to keep switching back and forth all of the time.
When playing Oculus content on a friend’s PC, start up your Rift before booting up the game from Steam – if you start from within the Steam app then it won’t be able to detect that an HMD is connected. If they have Windows 10, then see if they can download and run the anniversary update for universal access compatibility.
Oculus lets developers access more system hardware than users so that there aren’t any issues with permissions or control conflicts when a VR application requires higher performance than usual. The “Require full Oculus compatibility mode” option in the TriDef Ignition app is to be used when you have trouble launching an app through Steam, or are getting a black screen when trying to play it on your PC.
To restore TriDef’s settings for Steam apps without having to go back into each individual app, right click on one of its buttons and select “Restore defaults for this application”.
On the top right corner of your browser, click your profile picture and then My Profile. Click Privacy Center on the left side of your screen. Find and select DELETE YOUR OCULUS ACCOUNT at the bottom of the page.

Open Device Manager. Click People at the top of the window. Select the name of the person you wish to remove from Device Manager by clicking next to his or her name. Confirm your choice by selecting Delete.

To change your username:
Go to https://secure.oculus.com/ and log into your account. Select Profile from the left-hand menu. Edit the Username box next to it by clicking Edit. Enter your new username and PIN, then SAVE AND CONFIRM

To modify the admin account on your Oculus Quest 2, you must first factory reset it. Keep in mind that this cleans everything off your device and resets it to the state it was in when you first took it out of the box.
Open the Oculus app on your phone. Select Accounts in the bottom menu. Choose the headset linked to your phone. Go to Settings > General > Factory Reset and then Reset if you want to start fresh.
