Trying to set up a fake profile of someone else, spam other members or otherwise break the rules when using Plenty of Fish will result in account suspension. Creating multiple accounts and/or accessing an account that isn’t yours is against the rules as well.
POF deleted my account WTF
There are a number of reasons why your POF account may not be working or why you’re unable to log in. This is probably down to one of the following:
Your email address is incorrect, which means you can’t get back into your POF account. If this is the case, go and check your Account Settings by clicking on “Account” at the top right-hand corner of any page on our website. Here you’ll be able to change your email address so that you can log back in. You’ve forgotten your password – if this is the case click here for more information about how to reset it. Your account has been suspended because there was a problem with it (spamming, etc). In order to get back into your POF account, please send an email to [email protected] and we will help you out. Your account has been disabled or deleted because of inactivity – if this is the case, click here for more information about how to reactivate your account. If it has been deleted, we’d appreciate if you gave us as much information as you can about your account (such as the username and email address), so that we can help you out. If things are still unclear or you need additional assistance, click here to contact our Support team.
Please note: we will not be able to get back into an account for anyone who does not know their password – this is a security measure. Please make sure to remember your password next time!

Remember – if your POF account was disabled for inactivity, it will reactivate itself after a certain period of time (usually within 3 months). If this hasn’t happened, then click here. If your POF account was deleted because of inactivity or due to another reason (see above), it cannot be reactivated. Please bear this in mind when using Plenty Of Fish. We appreciate how frustrating this is for our members and take every opportunity to find ways for accounts that have disappeared to be restored as soon as possible.

Sign up or login to the PlentyOfFish website.
Enter your email and new password.
Access the profile by entering the email, password, and selecting Sign in without limitation
Plenty of Fish does not have a published policy about when it deletes inactive accounts. So, if you don’t delete your account or put it on hold, your profile may remain active indefinitely.
If you want to keep your account private after death, do not rely on Plenty of Fish to eventually delete your profile.
