Hi, If you are wanting to cancel your Venmo account due to an issue or because you don’t want it anymore, please do so by following these steps: 1) Open our app and tap on More > Settings, 2) Choose ‘Account’, 3) Hit ‘Cancel Account’ at the bottom of the screen (even if you’re not logged in – it’s still possible to dismiss your account), 4) Confirm that is what you want by tapping OK., 5) You’ll receive a confirmation message that your account has been canceled and you will not be able to login using the app anymore. Please note: If you cancel your Venmo account, all transactions tied to the account will need to be settled either by the buyer or seller prior to closing it out. In addition, cancellation of an account does not remove any info from other Venmo accounts so if you created another one after canceling, this new one may still see information about the original one when looking at previous transactions. Also – please know that we can’t delete past transactions even though they won’t post as pending payments on your current statement as a result of this action.
